Towards 2014 Reunion

We wish a new month filled with prosperity and good health for you and your friends and your families.

All of your cooperation, understanding and support, despite some difficulties, have helped our alumni association establishes a firm founding.

Carrying on a tradition, the OBA Alumni Association will be gathering at the Oore-Oluwa Baptist Academy (the school hall) Tuesday December 30, 2014 for the 3rd Annual Reunion celebration. All graduates of the school are invited to share in the morning and evening of fun, reminiscing and dancing as the association gathers to honor her founding.

As touching the registration for the Re-union T-SHIRT, the registration closes Wednesday 5 November 2014. Please register as early as possible with #1600.

  As of the registration for the Re-union Memory Book, the collection and submission of its form closes Tuesday 25 November 2014. Please do not wait till the last minute to collect or to submit the form with picture(s). As of regard to how to get a copy of the form, we have selected two members of class of 2009-2014 to hold copies of the forms.

NOTE; you can get the form from any of them, even when you are not of the same class. Just make sure you submit through the person you collect the form from. As it has been clearly stated previously of the registration fee is #50.

Thus, the picture format of the form has been uploaded to our facebook page, facebook group, whats App group, BBM Channel, blogspot as well as our other information services provided. On request, the coordinator of membership services for the 2013, 2014 Reunion, Mr. Adunola Adeniyi Idowu can send it to any member any where any time. Download and print the picture, and fill it. Find a means of sending it back to us. Don’t wait until last Minuit!

Correcting some certain misconception; the tag ‘DINNING WITH STRANGERS’ does not mean the association is holding a dinner party.  Thus it is an aspect of the RE-UNION through which there is opportunity for Alumni to eat and chat with any other alumni.

Class of 2013 and 2014 take note, the form of the reunion memory book is not the same you filled and submitted while at school (which is used to register you as alumni members), which is of a page. The Reunion memory book is of three pages. Please get the form and fill it at the appropriate time. We hope you understand.

1. ‘Alumni Tracing Project 2014’ (seeking to re-establish contact with our lost alumni. Lost Alumni are considered ones for whom we have no current contact information).

2. Circulation of the form for the Re-union Memory Book, collection of reunion memory book form and proper handing of members’ information.

3. the special members of the committee and chairman, treasurer, secretary and PRO will relate various steps, progress, challenges and other things of regard to the success of the committee to the 2014 Reunion Organizing and planning committee (as they will meet as of planning for the reunion).

4. The special members of the committee and chairman, treasurer, secretary and PRO will visit the school to get necessary information to be used for the reunion memory book.

Payment for the T-shirt is required through bank deposit
payments can also be made by cash in an envelope clearly marked with the T-shirt details, name and phone number.

Hopefully, this year will be a most enjoyable day.

May I bring to the notice of everyone, however, that this year event does not end at the get together only, all members are expected in college on the following day after the main event for a road show (road work)

Please note that members who want to go on the road trip must be in the chosen T-shirt so as to be in one uniform.

Tracing Project 2014

Are your friends on our 'lost list'?
Through the years, our Alumni Association has lost contact with some
of our Alumni. The graduates of OBA travel far and wide and as a
consequence, over the years there are many with whom we have lost
touch. Lost Alumni are considered ones for whom we have no current
contact information.
In the run-up to our 2014 Reunion celebration we are actively seeking
to re-establish contact with our lost alumni.
Please become a member of the OBA Alumni search team and join in the
mission to find our missing people.
The lost directory contains the names, educations details and other
relevants information of the graduates of the school who are not
currentely in touch with the Alumni Association.
We would love to welcome back all graduates of OBA. If you can help
at all, please encourage your friends to get in touch.
The 'lost Alumni Search committee' will be responsible for this
project. If you have changed addresses, gotten married, changed
employment, or have exsiting news to share, please consider using the
form 'Alumni Finder Tracing Project 2014'
As you have known that we use SMS as our primary mode to keep touch
and to inform you of updates about our noble Alumni Association,
having your contacts and details reletive information of reaching you
will make it easy for us to keep touch with yoy and possible for you
to get messages that are of important to you both of the association
and her school as well as of beyond.
The lost directory update contact form is available with the 'lost
Alumni Search committee. Get a copy of the form from the committee,
filed it and submitt back to the committee with #50, and a photograph
of yours.
Attached to the cost (#50) is for the production of Alumni directory
(details of each alumni Summitted to the committee as well as the
photographs) which will be produced in disk ( audio visual format)
with sound track as well as class notes.
Some of the infomation along with your photograph will be placed on
our websites assecible to all members and the provided information
will be used for the intended year book' of all the gradutes of the
school.
As the President of the association it is my charge to grow the
association membership base, increase alumni benefits and promote

I want to express my thanks to all alumni, alumni staff, planning committe, special task force, alumni board, our parents, sponsors as well as Peculiar GSM World Team( finacing the association's plans and events).
Our association is about turning 3years old and by celebrating the 2nd anniversary last year, alumni meetings for all alumni members experienced more active engagement than ever before.

As the president of the alumni association, i want to express my sincere appricaition to all of you.
During the remains of my tenure, i will make efforts to increase engagement. First of all, i will focus on some areas to solidify the basis of our alumni association.
1. I will make the alumni association more active, trustworthy among alumni members.
2. I will make the alumni association serve the needs of graduates and students of Ooreoluwa Baptist Academy.

2014 Reunion

 Dear value Alumni, starting this year in my message (welcoming the new members and greetings to all the members) I strongly assure you that the executives , the planning committee and I will never disappoint your expectations of our great annual Reunion event. Also that our tradition of success will continue by God grace.
 I hope you do expect the information about our 2014 Reunion. Here comes some of the plans;
=> The gallant executives of this noble association with the planning committee have met and come to conclusion  that we should make customized T-shirt (as we did in our 2013 Reunion) which will flags the name of members, the association logo and motto and this year Reunion main theme.
 It is agreed that each interested members should pay the sum of #1600 for the T-shirt and arrangements fees. Information on how to make payment has been updated lately.
 We plan to hold a dinner party, which will be tagged as "dinning with strangers", as one the series of the 2014 Reunion events.
 I guess many might /may think this event is about food or that do the  executive /planning committee think we do not have food to eat in our various houses. I will tell you these;
It is other than that, in this type of event, strangers (Alumni and good wishers and lovers of unity in place diversity) come together to create a collaborative meal producing the potential for good fortune meetings and unexpected happenings .
 This event engages Alumni in a unique situation of spending time at the intimate gathering(Reunion) with people then may have never meet (strangers) and may never see again.
 This part of our Reunion is aimed to explores the ideal of individual expression and temporal intimacy and allow us (Alumni, guests and invitees) to explore the freedom of interacting with new people outside of expectation, commitment, prior knowledge or self segregation.
 Apart what will be provided for the dinner party, you may bring something of your choice to share to at the dinner. And we encourage you to bring any other items you will like to use as entertainment , conversation, favours, or show and tells.
 These are some of the plans in regard to fulfilling our office oath/promise to keep the good banner the noble association flying higher and to continue with our tradition of progress.
 I do hope you will continue to keep trust you have in our ability to carry on by giving support, contribution, advice, suggestions to make the 2014 Reunion a great day and a memorable Reunion.
 I will advice and pray you to the arrangement and the fees at your earliest convinces so as to  avoid disappointment in any form.

Dining with strangers

All about the event "Dining with strangers" ...of the greatest Alumni, all of the greatest O. B. A. Alumni, the ever ambitious Alumni, this been a sound to the able and capable great members of the noble Association. I hope this message reach you;
 Sometimes a perfect stranger is the best dinner host, would you share a meal with strangers?
It is easy to think this event is about food, but it is not. The food is often just excuse for what can essentially be a really great party with a bunch of people you have never met.
 You can share your experiences and connect with the other eaters and hosts. This Association thrives on exploring and sharing real word interactions in person experiences to make meaningful and memorable connections. And we do hope the felling of gratitude will come in gathering around a dining table and helps to create new friendships from Alumni to Alumni and our guest so that no matter which part of the world we are, we can share a meal and story.
