OBA Alumni President Speech


THE SPEECH DELIVERED BY THE 2013/2014 ALUMNI PRESIDENT, OYEDIRAN IFEOLUWA HENRY. AT THE REDRESS MEETING FOR MAKING RESOLUTION ON AGENDA & SETTING OF PLANS, HELD AT THE SCHOOL ON 2ND 0F NOVEMBER 2013.


As the executives of the Association we are very grateful for you voting us in to render duties in service of the association and for giving us your support and contribution in terms of your participation. The Lord almighty will be with all of us.
We must express sincerest gratitude to all those without encouragement and support the association could never reach the present level.
Many thank to teachers, giving maximum supports, to bring forward the association. Although we may not mention names but God almighty knows whom the credits goes for.
We acknowledge members who in one way or the other contributed to the success of our agenda and plans. God almighty will give all we desire.
Fellow Alumni, I believe life has taught us so many things, the bad and good. Let us overcome the bad with the good and make good relationships with all.
Fellow Alumni, I am sure we all had experience good and bad, let us forget about the bad memories of the past and believe that today is a day giving us hope of better tomorrow.
Great Alumni, I believe in dream,
I had a dream that those brothers and sisters here are known for the best couple of the year.
I had a dream that many here are great ministers and ambassadors of tomorrow.
I had a dream that many here are owners of the biggest estate in the world.
I had so many good dreams that I believe will come to reality.
Of the greatest Alumni, I believe so much in love;
That love is the only force capable of transforming enemy into friendship.
That love is the most effective weapon to fight for unity.
That love is capable of achieving all things
Let us all use our love to bring peace.
Of the greatest Alumni,
 I love girls, I love boys
I love students, I love teacher
I love my school, reason been that my school comprises boys and girls, teacher and student. And love had been the reason of our coming together.
Always aiming for best Alumni, I like to pause here by saying ALUTA CONTINUA VICTORIA ASARTA.

To the success of the Ooreoluwa Baptist Academy Alumni Association ‘Redress Meting’, we returned all glory to God in the highest.
We appreciate the efforts of members that make themselves available for the meeting. Also we thank members who were unable to present but sending their remarks and giving back up for the meeting.
As announced, the meeting was held in the school hall on 2nd of November, 2013. About 32 members present.
We discussed issues on the association financial status, vest for our reunion and committee to plan ahead our reunion was organized. Each set presented two-two members as representatives in the committee. The fifth set presented only a member because they only had a member present at the meeting.
 The planning committee (should) consist of 10 members (if the fifty set present their remains representative). In persons of;
1. AMAO GEORGE ABIODUN (chairman of committee)
2. OYELOWO OYEBOLA (Sectary of the committee)
3. OYELOWO STEPHEN (member of the committee)
4. MOROLAHUN OYELOLA (member of the committee)
5. EBE SUZAN (member of the committee)
6. ARIWOOLA ADEOLA (member of the committee)
7. JAYEOLA MAYOWA (member of the committee)
8. OKUNLADE SAMSON (member of the committee)
9. OLANIRAN JANET (member of the committee)

The Social/ Protocols officer is the supervisor and the head of the committee. Equally all the executives of the Association will aid the committee.
Abubarkar Eche (menber) suggested that the issues of colour for vest should be let discussed by the planning committee after various colour suggestion by members. 

OBA Alumni holds readdress meeting


BREFING OF THE REDRESS MEETING (held in the school hall on 2nd of November, 2013.)

The meeting was opened with prayer (by Oyelowo Oyebola, member), followed by the National anthem and the school Anthem and pledge (conducted by Fasipe Esther Awele, member).

  All members introduced themselves. And the executives were introduced to the house.

The president (Oyediran Ifeoluwa Henry) gave welcome address.
 Com. Adekanmbi Gideon Tunmise gave Words of encouragement.
Financial status of the association was addressed to the house by Protocols/ social (Kayode Odunayo).
Discussion on vest was anchor by the Fin. Sec (Oyewole Adepeju) and Vice President (Adebisi Blessing).

Each set presented two-two members to represent them in planning for the reunion (active, available, and submissive members).

       The Social/Protocols officer (Kayode Odunayo)  announced that there will be award on the day of reunion (such as the most expensive member, the most sociable member, most talented member etc); the other award shall be announced prior to the reunion.

A teacher (Mr. Olarewaju Daniel) present at the meeting admonished the members to give their best to the services of the association to make it reach the expected level.
He added that the executives should work all in hand to achieve something meaningful and presentable.
Also he urged members who had comment, advice, suggestion or contribution for the development of the association to discuss it we the executives of the association.

He concluded by preaching love, peace and harmony.
Abubarkar Eche (member) said he observed that the association is not yet well organized and the members are not united. He therefore urged members to let work together to make things go well for the association.

The programnme was ended with closing prayer (Ebe Suzan Asake, member)
